El próximo viernes 29 de agosto, David Eyres, famoso guitarrista británico, afincado en Alhama de Granada, ofrecerá un concierto solidario de guitarra clásica en el Patio del Carmen, a las 22:00. Estará acompañado en el escenario por su hijo Patrick, artista consumado y juntos nos deleitarán con una velada de jazz.
David Eyres empezó su carrera musical hace mas de 45 años y ha viajado por el mundo, ofreciendo conciertos, componiendo música y acompañando a grandes cantantes.
David Eyres y su esposa Joanna se retiraron a disfrutar la vida en nuestro pueblo, hace menos de un año y desean colaborar activamente en las actividades que ofrece Alhama de Granada.
Durante el concierto de guitarra, David presentará obras propias y música que es muy conocida por todo el público asistente.
Durante el intermedio, La Asociación Protectora de Animales Solitarios de Alhama, ASAP, realizará entre los asistentes, la rifa de premios, donados por empresas alhameñas, para recaudar fondos para el pago de tratamientos veterinarios, medicamentos, esterilizaciones y alimentación para los muchos animales abandonados de los cuales ASAP, se hace cargo.
ASAP se fundó hace once años y desde entonces han rescatado, acogido, esterilizado y encontrado hogar para muchos animales, principalmente perros y gatos, pero también tortugas, aves, hurones, etc.
ASAP no recibe fondos de ningún organismo oficial, ni subvenciones de ningún tipo y es la donación de fondos, el voluntariado y los mercadillos y en este caso la rifa de premios, que hacen posible la labor altruista de esta asociación.
Se agradece al Ayuntamiento de Alhama de Granada, a las empresas colaboradoras, a los voluntarios de ASAP y a todas las personas involucradas en la realización de este concierto solidario, su participación y se invita al público en general a asistir a este evento, con el cual prácticamente se cierra el verano cultural.

Next Friday, 29th August, David Eyres, the famous British guitarist based in Alhama de Granada, will give a charity classical guitar concert in the Patio del Carmen, at 10:00 p.m. He will be accompanied on stage by his son Patrick, an accomplished artist, and together they will delight us with an evening of jazz.
David Eyres began his musical career more than 45 years ago and has travelled around the world, giving concerts, composing music and accompanying great singers.
David Eyres and his wife Joanne retired to enjoy life in our town less than a year ago, and they wish to collaborate actively in the activities that Alhama de Granada offers.
During the guitar concert, David will present his own works and music that is very well known to all the attending public.
During the interval, the Animal Protection Association of Solitary Animals of Alhama, ASAP, will hold among the audience a raffle of prizes, donated by Alhama businesses, to raise funds for the payment of veterinary treatments, medicines, sterilisation and food for the many abandoned animals that ASAP takes care of.
ASAP was founded eleven years ago and since then they have rescued, sheltered, sterilised and found homes for many animals, mainly dogs and cats, but also tortoises, birds, ferrets, etc.
ASAP does not receive funds from any official body, nor subsidies of any kind, and it is the donation of funds, volunteering, street markets, and in this case the raffle of prizes, that make possible the altruistic work of this association.
Thanks are given to the Town Hall of Alhama de Granada, to the collaborating businesses, to the volunteers of ASAP and to all the people involved in the organisation of this charity concert, for their participation, and the general public is invited to attend this event, with which the cultural summer practically comes to a close.
